What is Hallmarking?
Hallmarking is the accurate determination and official recording of the proportionate content of precious metal in articles made from that metal. Hallmarks are, thus, official marks used in India as a guarantee of purity or fineness of precious metal articles.
Apart from attesting to the purity of the gold, hallmarks can also contain details about the manufacturer, the year of hallmarking, and the hallmarking center’s location. These extra details increase the authenticity and traceability of gold items.Latest gold loan interest rates, processing fee charged by top 24 banks
