Organizations can apply for grants from the Morongo Band of Mission Indians’ 2023 Community Outreach Awards Program.
The tribe, headquartered near Cabazon, will hand out up to $5,000 to selected community groups, which must apply by Feb. 28, a news release states.
Recipients will be announced in April. The requirements and an application are online at www.morongonation.org/donations/
“Morongo is a giving tribe, and supporting the community is at the core of what Morongo stands for,” Morongo Tribal Chairman Charles Martin said in the release. “We were delighted by the success of our inaugural Community Outreach Awards program last year and look forward to continuing to help organizations across the Inland Empire and Southern California.”
