Pathaan’s gross global box office collection hits Rs 429 cr in 4 days


Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan collected over Rs 116 crore on Saturday to take its gross worldwide box office collection to Rs 429 crore in 4days as it continued its dream run.

The film’s gross box office collection stood at Rs 64 crore in India on Saturday and Rs 52 crore in overseas markets, as per data provided by Yash Raj Films (YRF).

The net domestic box office collection from the Hindi and dubbed versions was Rs 53.25 crore. After four days of release, the film’s net box office collection in India jumped to Rs 220 crore. Pathaan is the fourth film in YRF’s Spy Universe to become a blockbuster after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Haiand War.

Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles.

Released on January 25, the movie’s total screen count has touched 8,000 worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu formats. It is being shown on 5,500 screens in India and 2,500 screens overseas. After a global opening day collection of Rs 106 crore, film business experts had projected that the movie would surpass the Rs 400 crore-mark by the weekend.

Elara Capital senior vice president Karan Taurani had earlier said Pathaan might turn out to be the highest-grossing Hindi film in the postCovid era due to a blend of large-scale content and star power.
