Going on holiday is one of the most exciting times of the year – and the last thing you want is items in your luggage getting wrecked.

The TikToker, who’s based in Canada, has now said after three years working for an airline and nearly 300 flights later, she has the best advice.

Offering five tips on what to avoid, Meghan started off by advising against buying a soft suitcase.

She then said to never get yourself a light coloured case because any marks and scratches will easily show.

Her third tip was to avoid a bag which only has two wheels admitting it will get “annoying” to drag through an airport.

Number four was to stay away from all bags which aren’t expandable while Meghan’s final tip was “don’t buy expensive luggage”.

She said: “This is going to be how to pick out the best luggage.

“Number one, always look for hard-sided or waterproof luggage.

“You never know what’s going to be in someone else’s bag or what’s going to be under the plane and what can leak on your bag.

“Number two is get a dark colour.

“If your bag is going under the plane especially, it’s going to get scuffed-up very quickly.

“I’ve learnt that the hard way.

“Three is get a bag that has four wheels. The two wheels get really annoying to drag through the airport after a while.”

She added: “Four is look for a bag that’s expandable because you never know what you’re going to pick up on a trip and need to fit in your suitcase home.

“Number five, you don’t need the most expensive luggage.”

The video received over 83,000 likes with hundreds of users flooding the comments.

One person said: “I always tell people to stay away from four wheels.

“Those wheels are the first things to break off.”

Another added: “Fabulous tips!”
