Nintendo Switch 2: what do we know and should you buy a Switch?
Rumours are circulating around the internet about a possible Nintendo Switch 2 coming next year as it marks almost seven years since the release of the original Nintendo Switch.
Many retailers have been cutting the price of the console since Summer 2023 with some speculating that the console could be ready for a major refresh.
However, there has been very little information apart from reports from Eurogamer and VGC that Nintendo was showing the console to developers behind closed doors.
But Nintendo has shut these rumours down according to Japanese publication Mainichi.
Sources have told these outlets that a Nintendo Switch 2 could release on the second half of 2024 which begs the question: should you buy a Nintendo Switch?
Well, if there’s a game that you really want to play and you can get a great deal on the device – go for it. But if you’re sitting sitting on the fence and nothing is grabbing you, you might want to wait until next year and see if a new Switch could land.
