Animal Related: Nov. 27: A caller reported hitting a deer, leaving the deer off the roadway but parts of the vehicle still on the road; A 175th Ave. caller reported two dogs tore up the straw and plastic caller had placed on the ground; A State Hwy. 200 caller reported they hit a deer and the car was now inoperable;
Nov. 28: A caller reported cows out, running into the woods;
Nov. 29: A caller reported their wife hit a deer and the vehicle was not driveable; A caller reported a dog apparently abandoned on the side of the road had been in the same spot for two days; A caller reported animals at a 200th St. address were not being cared for;
Nov. 30: A caller reported a deer hit by a vehicle, and Beltrami County personnel agreed to take care of it;
Dec. 2: A County 40 caller reported their black Pomeranian service dog ran away;
Dec. 3: A caller reported a deer hit by a vehicle lying in a lane of traffic, needing to be dispatched; A caller reported an injured deer needing to be dispatched in the median on U.S. Hwy. 2; A caller reported shooting a deer with a bow, saying the deer ran and they found it still alive but had nothing with which to put it down.
Assaults/Harassment: Nov. 28: A Hubbard caller reported an ex harassing him;
Dec. 3: A caller threatened to sue the person answering the phone in dispatch because they didn’t know who he was; A Hubbard Twp. caller reported receiving texts from her ex, threatening to bring her to court regarding issues with the child whose custody they share.
Burglaries/Theft: Nov. 27: A garage door alarm was activated on State Hwy. 113, and when contacted, homeowners said nobody should be there; A residential burglar alarm was activated on County 93 by a shop overhead door sensor;
Nov. 28: A dining room motion alarm was activated on County 110;
Nov. 29: Back door and hallway motion alarms were activated in Laporte;
Nov. 30: A 200th St. caller reported someone stole several items from her vehicle and entered her residence;
Dec. 2: A house’s main level motion alarm was activated on County 93; A basement entry door alarm was activated in Mantrap Twp.;
Dec. 3: A commercial burglar alarm was activated in Nevis by a cafe’s back motion detector.
Fires: Nov. 29: A Hendrickson Twp. caller reported a large amount of dark smoke coming from a concrete building; A 189th Ave. caller reported a grain dryer on fire; A caller reported an older-model truck with no headlights and flames coming out from under it.
Medical: Nov. 27: An ambulance was requested in Akeley Twp. for a male possibly having a heart attack; An ambulance was requested in Farden Twp. for a female who had been drinking for a few days, now having seizures and vomiting; There were two alarm activations in Lake Emma Twp., from a mobile alarm and a fall detector;
Nov. 28: An ambulance was requested in Hendrickson Twp. for a male who was dizzy, having balance problems and unable to stand up; An ambulance was requested in Henrietta Twp. for a COVID-positive resident having low oxygen levels; A medical alarm was triggered by a fall detector in Lake Emma Twp. with a GPS locator, and the subscriber could not be contacted;
Nov. 30: An ambulance was requested in Henrietta Twp. for a male with high blood pressure trouble who passed out and was having difficulty breathing; A medical alarm was activated in Lake Emma Twp.; An ambulance was requested in Hart Lake Twp. for a man who fell, cut his head open and was bleeding;
Dec. 1: Someone was transported to the emergency room in Park Rapids; An ambulance was requested in Todd Twp. for a male who fell and was bleeding from the mouth; An ambulance was requested in Henrietta Twp. for a 71-year-old female who was vomiting blood;
Dec. 2: A medical pendant alarm was activated in Helga Twp. and the alarm company was unable to contact the subscriber; An ambulance was requested in Nevis Twp. for a diabetic who was vomiting, had low sugar and looked like they were going into a diabetic coma; An ambulance was requested in Mantrap Twp. for a male having a seizure; An ambulance was requested in Lakeport Twp. for someone slumped over the wheel of an SUV;
Dec. 3: The emergency room in Park Rapids reported having a male patient with a self-inflicted, accidental gunshot wound; An ambulance was requested in Arago Twp. for a male described as extremely intoxicated; An ambulance was requested in Badoura Twp. for a female having trouble breathing.
Miscellaneous: Nov. 27: A County 16 caller reported someone was about three hours overdue coming home from work;
Nov. 28: A caller found a Honda Foreman ATV near Newman Lake with snow on it and no license visible;
Nov. 30: An Akeley caller reported a suspicious male in a truck trying to get in the door; An open-line 911 call had no talking or background noise;
Dec. 1: A County 50 caller reported unusual behavior happening in his home with his granddaughter and her boyfriend;
Dec. 2: A caller reported a camouflage 4×4 in the ditch, saying it had been there overnight and caller was concerned someone may be in trouble in the woods; A 275th Ave. caller reported mailbox damage; A 315th Ave. caller reported hearing shooting and seeing an older Chevy pickup drive off;
Dec. 3: A Lakeport Twp. caller had questions about the noise ordinance, saying their neighbor often plays loud music. A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller reported a suspicious, unknown male walking around the property; A Farden Twp. reported hearing four shots, with a few seconds between each one.
Traffic: Nov. 28: A caller reported a Dodge Neon passed them on the right in a no-passing zone at high speed;
Nov. 29: A caller reported a trailer on the shoulder for several days and was concerned someone may run into it;
Nov. 30: A caller reported an SUV crossing the centerline, unsure whether the driver was preoccupied or impaired;
Dec. 1: An off-duty officer reported a possibly intoxicated driver eastbound on U.S. Hwy. 71 from Lake George, swerving all over the roadway at varying speeds; A caller reported a vehicle all over the road, crossing the center line; A U.S. Hwy. 71 caller requested officer assistance, saying she ran out of gas with two children in the car;
Dec. 2: Motorist assist was requested; A caller reported a pickup driving on the Heartland Trail;
Dec. 3: Law enforcement stopped a Dodge doing a burnout; A caller reported a sedan passing on the right at over 85 mph; A caller reported plywood fell out of a truck in the roadway; A caller reported a sedan tailgating and swerving; Law enforcement reported a driver slow to stop for a traffic stop.
