Counting down the hours until 5pm and that first official Christmas drink?

Well luckily for you we have something to help the time go a little faster – a Christmas brain teaser.

Yes, we all love them, and especially at this time of year, but why?

Puzzles have many benefits, not least enhancing cognitive skills, building logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, improving memory, aiding concentration and training the brain to think quickly.

Conversely though, they can also help people to relax and unwind (if you’re not too competitive).

In addition, brain teasers can boost creativity, and also offer a sense of accomplishment – so if you do nothing else on Boxing Day, at least you can complete a puzzle while lying on the sofa in your new PJs.

Two of these snowflakes are the same, but can you find them? (Picture: Betway)

Sticking with the Christmas theme, the folk at Betway have put together this crafty creation to ease yourself into both puzzle mode and the holidays.

There are 25 snowflakes, but only two are the same – can you spot them in 30 seconds?

No, this wasn’t designed to annoy the anti-woke brigade – nor meteorologists, who know that no two snowflakes are alike.

That’s because every snowflake follows a very slightly different path through the atmosphere as they form, and the different atmospheric conditions they encounter alter the pattern they form.

So now you know too.

But our snowflakes are special, and two of them really are the same. But could you find them? See the answer below…

Did you find them? It was a tricky one, but if this brain teaser has you ready for more puzzles, Metro.co.uk has a whole range of crosswords and sudoku every day, free, for readers.

Enjoy, and merry Christmas!
