Riverside’s top teens have been announced for this year.
The annual program is again recognizing the city’s 25 Most Remarkable Teens.
They are chosen by the Riverside Youth Council, a program coordinated by the mayor’s office and the Riverside Police Department.
The honor salutes youths between eighth and 12th grades for their feats in academics, athletics, arts and culture as well as for community involvement, leadership and other other accomplishments, a city news release states.
The teenagers will be honored at the Tuesday, May 7, Riverside City Council meeting at 4:45 p.m.
This year’s honorees are:
- Ramona High School: Christina Chimal, Brooke Hernandez and Kayla McCarty
- La Sierra High School: Marcy Arcos Benigno, Elizabeth Bojorquez Barrios, Rose (Raine) Hemminger, Thu Nguyen, Sophia Rocha, Vineet Sharma and Terry Tebbetts
- Notre Dame High School: Natasha Singh
- Riverside Virtual High School: Aiden Anguiano
- Arlington High School: Makayla Hudson, Elynora Taylor and Samantha Velasquez
- Poly High School: Joseph Subriar
- Hillcrest High School: Marco Suarez
- King High School: Odera Arena
- Norte Vista High School: Marilyn Gonzalez, Ahriya Gutierrez
- Riverside STEM Academy: Brendon Jiang
- Villegas Middle School: Isabella Ortega
- Summit View Independent Home-based Program: Louisa Pruitt
- St. Catherine of Alexandria School: Urijah Raju
- Alvord High School: Rachel Taulanga
