LAKE PLACID — The second annual Adirondack Winter Invitational will return to Lake Placid on Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 30. The men’s hockey tournament showcases four NCAA Division I teams from two different collegiate hockey conferences.

The University of Massachusetts Lowell and Providence College, both of whom are representing the Hockey East Conference, will face off against Eastern College Athletic Conference Hockey schools — St. Lawrence University and Clarkson University — with each team playing two games over Thanksgiving weekend.

At the inaugural Adirondack Invitational, Arizona State skated away with the title after defeating Cornell in a shootout in the tournament’s championship game. Clarkson finished third after beating UMass Amherst 5-4 in overtime in the consolation final.

On Friday, Nov. 29, UMass Lowell will take on St. Lawrence at 4 p.m., while second game between Providence and Clarkson will start at 7:30 p.m. The following day, Providence and St. Lawrence will face off at 4 p.m. and UMass Lowell and Clarkson will take place at 7:30 p.m.

All games will be held in the 1980 Herb Brooks Arena. The tournament winner will be determined through an overall points system.

There will be an all-event ticket for $50 a person, while a single-day event ticket costs $30. Children 6 and under are free. Those interested can purchase tickets at https://tinyurl.com/y5f26h8m.
