Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.81%


Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:), which rose 4.63% or 3,100.00 points to trade at 70,000.00 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:) added 4.60% or 520.00 points to end at 11,820.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:) was up 3.26% or 60.00 points to 1,900.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Etb (BVC:), which lost 6.25% or 5.00 points to trade at 75.00 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:) declined 4.80% or 490.00 points to end at 9,710.00 and Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:) shed 1.45% or 400.00 points to 27,240.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.61% or 4.42 to $269.48 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 2.11% or 171.00 to hit $8,293.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.52% or 14.00 to trade at $2,680.90 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.08% to 4,174.53, while BRL/COP rose 0.15% to 768.23.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 100.15.
