There’s also an array of new tech, including a 27-inch OLED display, which combines both the infotainment system and instrument cluster and can be split into two or three separate screens, depending on the driver’s preferences.
A new 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system is fitted, while a redesigned steering wheel, revised ambient lighting and a choice of four colour combinations elevate the cabin further.
And there’s also first appearance in a Genesis of an intriguing feature called Chauffeur Mode, which is claimed to provide smoother acceleration and greater comfort through optimised torque and suspension settings. Rear-seat passengers, meanwhile, benefit from 14-way seat adjustment and the ability to recline their seats to 40 degrees.
For those who spend their time behind the wheel, the most significant upgrade is likely to be the addition of a 94kwh battery, which endows the Electrified G80 with the ability to travel 295 miles – or 475km – on a single charge (as per Korean certification standards). The suspension has also been tweaked to deliver a more stable ride.
The new Electrified G80 is available for Korean customers to buy now.
