Taiwan shares higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.81%



Investing.com – Taiwan equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the added 0.81%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. HannsTouch Solution Inc (TW:) added 9.95% or 1.10 points to end at 12.15 and Kaulin Mfg (TW:) was up 9.86% or 1.45 points to 16.15 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Lead Data Inc (TW:), which lost 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 in late trade. Leadtek Research Inc (TW:) declined 9.70% or 8.10 points to end at 75.40 and JPC Connectivity Inc (TW:) shed 9.24% or 16.50 points to 162.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.08% or 0.06 to $71.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $75.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 5.40 to trade at $2,740.80 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.13% to 31.98, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.05% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 103.81.
