The biggest gainers of the session on the were China Motor Corp (TW:), which rose 9.97% or 7.30 points to trade at 80.50 at the close. Abocom Systems Inc (TW:) added 9.87% or 1.50 points to end at 16.70 and Arima Communications Corp (TW:) was up 9.57% or 1.00 points to 11.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Logah Technology Corp (TW:), which lost 9.99% or 0.94 points to trade at 8.47 in late trade. Avision Inc (TW:) declined 9.96% or 0.55 points to end at 4.97 and Foxconn Technology Co Ltd (TW:) shed 9.91% or 9.30 points to 84.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.23% or 0.16 to $68.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.19% or 0.14 to hit $72.95 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 8.30 to trade at $2,660.00 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.23% to 32.59, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 106.54.
