With Christmas just around the corner, one major supermarket is getting ready to slash the prices of vegetables to just 15p.
Sainsbury’s has revealed the exact date they will slash the cost of veggies including potatoes and carrots just in time for your Christmas dinner.
Prices start from just 15p which means you can save your cash for any festive treats and last minute gifts.
This year, Sainsbury’s customers with a Nectar Card can get their hands on festive veggies from Wednesday December 18 to Tuesday December 24.
This includes Sainsbury’s Brussels Sprouts, parsnips, carrots and potatoes.
Shoppers can also enjoy big savings on delicious meat centrepieces including 25 per cent off by Sainsbury’s Fresh Standard Turkeys, now £3/kg with a Nectar card from Thursday December 19.
For those looking for an alternative to turkey, there will be 50 per cent off by Sainsbury’s Scottish Whole Salmon, £7.50p/kg with Nectar available from Wednesday December 18 until Tuesday December 31.

These Nectar Prices are available from Thursday 19th December until Thursday 26th December:

Nectar customers can benefit from Sainsbury’s Nectar Prices by scanning their app or swiping their card at the till.
Customers shopping online will have their discounts applied automatically if their Nectar and Sainsbury’s accounts are linked.
The annual Christmas offer can be found in Sainsbury’s online and in Sainsbury’s superstores.

Sainsbury’s isn’t the only supermarket slashing their prices on festive produce.
Aldi will slash the prices of its potatoes, carrots, parsnips and sprouts to just 15p.
The German grocer are running an offer on Christmas dinner for £1.91 per person based on six people. The offer includes a small fresh turkey at £2.95 per kg.

Meanwhile, the cheapest place to do your supermarket shop for Christmas has been revealed.
Which? found German discounter Aldi to be the most affordable place last month for groceries out of the eight biggest supermarkets in the UK.
The consumer champion looked at how the retailer’s prices compared to a shopping list of 55 products, to represent a weekly shop.
The cheapest supermarket for a shopping list of 55 items was Aldi, where the groceries cost £97.89 on average across the month.
Fellow bargain store Lidl was just behind Aldi in November, costing only 38p more with the supermarket’s loyalty scheme Lidl Plus and 45p more without.
If you did the same shop at Tesco without a Clubcard would cost £108.45 or £105.61 with a Clubcard.
At Sainsbury’s, you could expect to pay £112.06 if you did not have a Nectar card or £106.71 if you have one.
Posh grocer Waitrose proved to be the most expensive with a price tag of £123.32 for 55 item shop.
