Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were ALi Corp (TW:), which rose 9.97% or 2.85 points to trade at 31.45 at the close. Logah Technology Corp (TW:) added 8.65% or 0.64 points to end at 8.04 and Tai Roun Products Co Ltd (TW:) was up 8.36% or 1.40 points to 18.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd (TW:), which lost 9.95% or 2.90 points to trade at 26.25 in late trade. Arima Communications Corp (TW:) declined 9.94% or 2.60 points to end at 23.55 and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW:) shed 9.91% or 7.60 points to 69.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.26% or 0.18 to $70.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.37% or 0.27 to hit $73.79 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 9.31 to trade at $2,747.39 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.18% to 32.44, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.31% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 106.25.
