Eintracht Frankfurt are in talks to sign Arsenal centre-back Ayden Heaven.
The 18-year-old has been with Arsenal’s academy since the age of 12 and made his first-team debut in the Carabao Cup tie against Preston North End in October.
Heaven now regularly trains with Arsenal’s first-team squad and has been on the bench in three Premier League games this season, although he is yet to make an appearance.
Arsenal are keen to keep Heaven, who was part of the academy group that also included Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri.
However, Heaven has not signed a professional contract with Arsenal and his scholarship deal expires in the summer.
Speaking on Friday evening, Eintracht Frankfurt CEO, Markus Krosche, confirmed that the Bundesliga club have made an approach for Heaven.
‘We spoke to Arsenal. We try to sign him,’ Krosche said before Eintracht Frankfurt’s 2-0 win at home to Borussia Dortmund.
‘He’s a really good prospect and we’ll see if we can find a solution with him.’
