Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd 'have chance to sign £60m Prem striker in January' on loan

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United could face a transfer battle in January as Brighton will reportedly allow Evan Ferguson to complete a loan move away from the AMEX Stadium. The 20-year-old was tipped for stardom at the top of the game after bagging a hat-trick against Newcastle at the start of last season but has since slipped down the pecking order on the south coast.

He has featured in seven Premier League matches this season, with Brighton enjoying an impressive start to the campaign under new manager Fabian Huerzler.

But six of those appearances came as a substitute as Danny Welbeck, Georginio Rutter and Joao Pedro have often been selected ahead of the Republic of Ireland international.

Ferguson has clearly been unable to convince Huerzler thus far of his credentials to be a regular starter in the Premier League. And, according to The Telegraph, the striker is desperate for more minutes.

Brighton are said to value the star at £60million but don’t want to move him on permanently.

And he is likely to move to a rival Premier League club on loan after being handed a new six-year contract a year ago.

Ferguson has already featured 74 times for Brighton since joining the club from Bohemians in his homeland at the start of 2021.

He has bagged 17 goals for the Seagulls and has also found the back of the net four times in 18 games for his country.

Goal have reported that Arsenal, Chelsea and United were all interested in securing the player’s signature in the aftermath of his star performances last season. But he is now being linked with a move to the likes of Leicester, Fulham, West Ham and Newcastle.
