United are open to offloading Sancho in the upcoming window after he was frozen out of the first team by Erik ten Hag in September.
Ten Hag publicly criticised Sancho after United’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal, claiming that the winger was dropped from the squad for his poor effort levels in training.
Sancho fired back an immediate response to Ten Hag on social media in which he accused the United manager of making him a ‘scapegoat’ for the team’s defeat to Mikel Arteta’s side.
United’s £73 million signing from Borussia Dortmund has been ordered to train away from the first team and his future in the side whilst Ten Hag remains in charge appears to be over.
According to reports in Spain this week, United have offered Sancho to Barcelona in an exchange deal which would see Raphinha move the other way to Old Trafford.
However, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona have ‘ruled out’ the idea of signing Sancho as the United winger is not in their plans.
The report also claims that Raphinha is considered ‘untouchable’ in the January window and would only consider selling next summer if they received a significant fee for the Brazil international.
Raphinha joined Barcelona in a £55m deal from Leeds United last year and has 12 goals and 17 assists in 65 appearances for the Spanish champions.
