Brockton, Fan Appreciation nights at New England Knockouts. What to know before you go – Enterprise News


BROCKTON — If you’re not ready for summer to be over, you still have time to catch a New England Knockouts baseball game at Campanelli Stadium before the season ends.

For a small amount of money, you can be entertained by America’s pastime and watch the spectacle of the Knockouts’ talented baseball players while munching on a hot dog and washing it down with a cold beer. You can also enjoy a fireworks display after the game.

The New England Knockouts announced they are holding their inaugural Brockton Night andFan Appreciation Night, taking place during the team’s final homestead of the season.

The New England Knockouts, the newest member of the Frontier League, a professional partner league of Major League Baseball, kicked off their inaugural season at Brockton’s Campanelli Stadium in May.

“We’re thrilled to show our appreciation to the Brockton community,” John Wilson, general manager of the NewEngland Knockouts, said in a written statement. “This city opened its doors to us just 10 short months ago. We have felt extremely welcomed and are grateful for the community’s continuous support.”

So, get ready to root, root, root for the home team.

When is Brockton Night?

As part of Brockton Night on Friday, Aug. 23, the Knockouts will show their appreciation to the Brockton community, as well as their local fans. All tickets for the 6:30 p.m. game are $5 for Brockton residents. Residents must show a valid form of identification with a Brockton address to take advantage of the offer. Tickets for non-residents will range from $8 to $13.

Friday will also feature several Brockton-themed promotions throughout the game, paying homage to both theShoe City and the City of Champions.

“Fans can expect a game with a shoe race and a visit from Brockton Rox mascot K-O,” said Brett Chaves, director of broadcast and media relations for the New England Knockouts.

After the game, fans will be able to enjoy the final session of fireworks.

When is Fan Appreciation Night?

Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday, Aug. 25, will be the final home game of the season and will feature the team’s largest raffle of the year, including prizes from various local partners. The game starts at 1 p.m.

These prizes will be given throughout the entirety of the game. Some of the prizes fans will be able to win will include a gym membership, an autographed baseball or jersey and other memorabilia from the inaugural season, Chaves said.

After the game, kids will be able to run the bases and enjoy a full-team autograph session on the field.

“Running the bases is one of our favorite promotions of the year, because it puts kids and family first,” Chaves said.

What concessions are at the game?

Fans can expect typical game-day foods like hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers and fries. Other ball park staples will include popcorn, Cracker Jacks and nachos. Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase, including draft and craft beer.

Cool treats include the Mini Melts Ice Cream stand on the third base concourse, freeze pops, frozen bananas and frozen lemonade.

How much do regular game tickets cost?

Tickets for the remainder of the season can be purchased at tickets.knockoutsbaseball.com as well as in-person at the Campanelli Stadium box office. Tickets range from $8 to $13,  the team will offer discounts for seniors, students, military personnel and first responders.

Parking

Spectators can park at the Campanelli Stadium lot located in front of Gate B and at Brockton High School.
