Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.03%


Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the lost 0.03% to hit a new 1-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Etb (BVC:), which rose 6.67% or 5.00 points to trade at 80.00 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC:) added 1.71% or 320.00 points to end at 18,980.00 and Mineros SA (BVC:) was up 1.15% or 40.00 points to 3,520.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Bancolombia SA (BVC:), which lost 3.62% or 1,360.00 points to trade at 36,240.00 in late trade. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:) declined 3.21% or 380.00 points to end at 11,440.00 and Grupo Argos SA (BVC:) shed 1.68% or 300.00 points to 17,600.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.39% or 6.47 to $263.78 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 8.21% or 634.00 to hit $7,088.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.96% or 25.40 to trade at $2,684.80 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.01% to 4,221.27, while BRL/COP rose 1.15% to 778.24.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 100.94.
