Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.30%



Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:), which rose 4.95% or 1,260.00 points to trade at 26,740.00 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:) added 4.61% or 350.00 points to end at 7,950.00 and Etb (BVC:) was up 1.88% or 1.50 points to 81.50 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:), which lost 4.47% or 500.00 points to trade at 10,680.00 in late trade. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC:) declined 3.89% or 920.00 points to end at 22,760.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:) shed 2.40% or 50.00 points to 2,035.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.42% or 3.45 to $246.35 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.34% or 104.00 to hit $7,854.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.27% or 32.00 to trade at $2,548.70 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 1.24% to 4,024.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.51% to 733.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.82% at 100.57.
