Virgin Voyages Scarlet Summer Season Pass is focused toward remote workers who want to swap the study for the open seas.

Virgin claims to have the fastest at-sea internet connection in the industry, so remote workers can simply log into the virtual office whenever they want.

The ship is home to 20 restaurants, including a Korean BBQ and a vegetarian eatery.

The cabins feature a sea-view balcony kitted out with hammocks, rainfall shower and electric blinds.

The fee of £8,000 for two people also includes group fitness classes, such as yoga, spin and HIIT.

And there is a daily tea/coffee credit, wash and fold laundry service, access to the ship’s “members only” sundeck, gratuities, and a complimentary bottle of fizz on arrival.

Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages, said: “No longer does working from home mean being tied to a desk or home office and eating leftovers for lunch.

“With our latest Wi-Fi upgrades, Virgin Voyages can now offer our sailors the chance to see the world while working from a daybed at the Dock and sampling Mediterranean mezzes, then hopping off the ship in between calls to make the most of our incredible ports of call.”

One of the many reasons why cruises are becoming loved again is convenience.

Travellers love not having to continuously pack and unpack and travel to see multiple destinations.

And the vast range of activities on board makes it fun even when travelling from one stop to the next.

Social connections are another significant factor, as the younger generations are all for shared experiences, and remote working is extremely popular, making cruises the perfect environment.

Sailing for the first time in January, the Icon Of The Seas was six years and more than £1.2billion in the making.

The ship has a capacity of 7,600 people, with eight distinct zones and more than 40 restaurants and bars.
