DePaul at Texas A&M odds, picks and predictions – Enterprise News

The DePaul Blue Demons (1-6) and Texas A&M Aggies (6-2) meet Wednesday at Reed Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the DePaul vs. Texas A&M odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and best bets.

The Blue Demons suffered a 99-80 loss against visiting Iowa State last time out on Friday. DePaul has lost and failed to cover 4 straight since its only win and cover of the season at home against South Dakota back on Nov. 14. The Over is 3-1 in the past 4 games overall.

The Aggies suffered a 59-47 loss at Virginia last time out on Nov. 29, and they lost to FAU at the ESPN Events Invitational in Orlando on Nov. 24. A&M is just 1-2 SU/ATS in the past 3 games after opening 4-0 SU/3-1 ATS. The Over has cashed in 3 of the past 4 outings for the Aggies.

Texas A&M has been without G Tyrese Radford, the team’s 3rd-leading scorer since leaving the FAU game on Nov. 24. He reported having trouble breathing, and he has been dealing with an undisclosed lung issue. Officially, he is listed as questionable for Wednesday, but coach Buzz Williams has offered very little information since Radford’s initial exit in Orlando.

Texas A&M is No. 19 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

DePaul at Texas A&M picks and predictions

Prediction

Texas A&M 89, DePaul 65

Moneyline

Texas A&M (-4500) will cost you 45 times your potential return, and there is never a reason to bet such a heavy favorite, even if it is extremely unlikely it will take a loss straight up.

PASS, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

TEXAS A&M -19.5 (-114) is worth a look at home against a terrible DePaul +19.5 (-106) side.

While the Aggies have looked very ordinary in the past 3 games, that has been without Radford and against top-notch opponents away from home. A&M will be too much to handle, and look for the team’s top 2 scorers G Wade Taylor IV and F Henry Coleman III to do more and have giant games to fill the scoring void if Radford is on the shelf again.

Over/Under

OVER 146.5 (-115) is worth a look.

The Over has cashed in 3 of the past 4 games, and I’m expecting a season-high in points for the Aggies, even if Radford remains sidelined. This is a tough spot for DePaul, as it faces an A&M offense which was confounded and frustrated by the pesky Virginia defense last time out. The Ags will take it out on the poor Blue Demons.
