Diwali shopping

Diwali is around the corner. What is now on is the happy frenzy of Diwali shopping ‘n’ hopping. This is not necessity-buying but a joyous tradition that brings with it the excitement and thrill of a shopping spree. In that sense, Diwali has already started.

This is a time when families and friends come together to shop for new clothes, jewellery and gifts, creating a strong sense of bonding and shared enthusiasm. The joy of getting gifts is matched, even exceeded, by giving out Diwali gifts.

The act/art of selecting and buying gifts is a deeply rewarding experience. It is an expression of love, gratitude and goodwill. Choosing the perfect gift for someone, wrapping it and seeing the delight on their faces when they receive it is a pleasure like no other.

When online shopping has become default for many items, Diwali shopping from boutiques, high-street stores and malls makes for joyous outings on its own. From buying new furnishings and decor items to selecting diyas and rangoli designs, it’s also a time to infuse one’s living space with the spirit of the festival – a festival that’s already begun.
