Yes, the glow of massive holiday light displays can be seen from the skies.
Drone photos shot recently from above two popular Inland Empire Christmas spectacles provide the proof.
The extravagantly decorated homes on Thoroughbred Street in Rancho Cucamonga and the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa’s Festival of Lights both shine high into the night skies.
Red, green, yellow and purple lights are among the visible hues that stand out in the darkness, photos shot Tuesday night, Dec. 5, show.
Neighbors on Thoroughbred Street officially began their three-week showcase on Monday, Dec. 4, continuing a tradition has endured for more than 30 years.
Similarly, the Festival of Lights is in its 31st year delighting locals and visitors with a hotel glowing with lights and nearby activities that range from a Ferris wheel to ice skating. For the first time, this year’s installment began about a week before Thanksgiving.
