New Delhi: Adani Enterprises, Waaree Energies, Ohmium Operations and Avaada Electrolysers are among the 13 companies that have won capacities eligible for incentives under the second tranche of the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) scheme for manufacturing electrolysers in the country, people familiar with the development told ET.
“Thirteen companies have been selected (shortlisted) for receiving subsidy under the second tranche of SIGHT scheme,” said one of the persons.
SIGHT is a financial programme under the National Green Hydrogen Mission with a total outlay of ₹17,490 crore for manufacturing of electrolysers and production of green hydrogen. The allocation for the second tranche is pegged at ₹2,200 crore.
Growing Interest
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) had received bids from 23 companies for 2,847 MW against the offered capacity of 1,500 MW in various buckets based on technologies. The results of the financial bids are subject to revision, according to an official from SECI, the nodal agency for the tender.
Financial bids invited in May were for three categories – any stack technology (bucket 1), indigenously developed stack technology (bucket 2A), and indigenously developed stack technology-smaller units (bucket 2B).
