ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — The 3rd annual Enterprise Fire Department golf tournament raised nearly $7,500 during the one-day event.
Money was raised through tournament play, sponsorships, games, and raffle prizes.
More than 20 teams participated in the tournament, held at the The Bridges at Tartan Pines on July 20. Players Morgan Casey, Colton Yarbrough, Freddy Batenburg, and Robert Brooks took home first place.
“We are overwhelmed by the success of this year’s tournament and the support from our community to help raise money for our community risk reduction efforts,” Fire Chief Christopher Davis said. “The funds raised will go right back into Enterprise to help with fire prevention safety and education.”
With some of these funds, the Enterprise Fire Department aims to have working smoke alarms in every home within the Enterprise City limits.
