CAIRO – 19 May 2024: Entlaq Company concluded on Saturday the Dutch Startups Matchmaking Program in the Egyptian ecosystem, which was implemented in collaboration with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt.
The conclusion event witnessed the presence of Entlaq Company’s CEO, Mohamed Ehab, and the Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands Embassy in Egypt, Eva Witteman.
Ehab stated that this program represents an investment opportunity for companies, workers, and investment institutions.
The CEO of the company clarified that they were able to connect and introduce the startups to the Egyptian ecosystem during the RiseUp summit.
The 11th edition of RiseUp took place between 16 and 18 May 2024, under the theme of “Powering Through,” at the Grand Egyptian Museum. It brought together prominent speakers, startups, and industry leaders to share their journeys of growth, resilience, and collaborative efforts in navigating the challenging landscape of business and innovation.
According to Entlaq, the program aimed to organize a network of events to connect all the startups with key stakeholders, the government, the private sector and the entrepreneurial sector in order to enhance potential expansion within Egypt and to connect with the nation.
For her part, Eva Witteman emphasized the importance of trade missions such as the Dutch one here in Egypt in contributing to the bilateral and economic relationships between both countries, Egypt and the Netherlands.
Witteman referred to the need to build stronger businesses between both countries, and to gain mutual benefits regarding investment and trade.
The Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt described earlier this program as an “innovative” project, clarifying that it aims to boost innovation and catalyze partnerships.
“This collaboration aligns perfectly with Entlaq’s and the Embassy of the Netherlands’ missions to transform Egypt into a MENA startup hub by fostering innovation and collaboration,” it added.
