Leominster firefighter/EMTs Dan Gaughan (l.) and Eric Hernandez were one of several crews hard at work shoveling out fire hydrants that were buried from Winter Storm Kenan in January 2022, the nor’easter that dumped well over two feet of snow in some locations around the state and just over six inches in the city. The duo drove an ambulance around tackling hydrants along Water Street while down the road on Whitney Street a crew with the Engine 1 truck were spotted doing the same.
