ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — A Florida man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly kidnapped, struck, and sexually assaulted a woman he had met through “Facebook Dating.”
Caleb Fast, 29, of Pensacola is charged with kidnapping, battery, aggravated assault, and sexual assault.
According to an arrest report, deputies made contact with the victim outside St. John’s Episcopal Church, who was in need of medical attention.
The victim told deputies that Fast, who she met through “Facebook Dating,” had been holding her against her will since Thursday.
The victim claimed Fast repeatedly punched her, sexually assaulted her and threatened her with a firearm if she attempted to leave.
According to a report, the victim was able to flee from Fast after she said he passed out drunk after consuming a bottle of wine. She allegedly ran to the church on foot, where she then contacted deputies.
Deputies in a report said they observed an obvious injury to the victim’s right eye. They added she appeared “visibly shaken and nervous.”
A warrant was then obtained for Fast’s arrest.
Fast was arrested and booked into Escambia County Jail on Sunday morning. He is held on $177,000 bond.
