Four Brockton-area athletes are featured in new college football video game – Enterprise News

It’s finally here. College Football 25, EA Sports long awaited reboot of the series, was released early to some players on Monday, with the game’s standard release coming Friday. 

For college football and video game fans across the Brockton area, there will be a few recognizable names when playing.  

Below are four local players we identified in the game, complete with overall ratings and significant attributes: 

Samson Okunlola, Miami, Brockton 

Position: Left tackle 

Overall: 80 

Standout attributes: Pass block (87), Strength (86) 

The 6-6, 300-pound lineman played in three games for the Hurricanes last season as a redshirt freshman, seeing snaps against Miami (Ohio), Bethune-Cookman and Temple. He was a consensus five-star prospect and ranked 16th overall in ESPN300 out of Thayer Academy.  

Samuel Okunlola, Colorado, Brockton 

Position: Right end 

Overall: 77 

Standout attributes: Finesse move (83), Speed (80), Strength (78) 

The sophomore pass rusher recorded five sacks, 18 total tackles (six tackles for loss), a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 2023 at Pittsburgh before transferring to Colorado. 247 Sports ranked him as the 32nd best player in the transfer portal and number 4 defensive lineman. He was a three-star recruit out of Thayer Academy and ranked No. 6 and No. 5 by ESPN and 247 Sports, respectively.  

Cam Monteiro, Pittsburgh, Brockton 

Position: Wide receiver 

Overall: 66 

Standout attributes: Speed (90), acceleration (90) 

The 6-1, 180-pound freshman enrolled at Pittsburgh in January after graduating early from Brockton High. He was ranked as the top receiving prospect in Massachusetts and third overall in the state by ESPN and 247 Sports. He totaled more than 2,000 all-purpose yards in his final two years at Brockton. 

Dom Silvia, Charlotte, Bridgewater 

Position: Right Guard 

Overall: 57 

Standout attributes: Strength (90) 

The 6-6, 320-pound offensive lineman is entering his freshman season with the 49ers. Rated a two-star recruit by Rivals.com coming out of Dexter Southfield, helping the team go 7-2 in back-to-back seasons as a junior and senior.
