Gary Lineker briefly delayed the start of Match of the Day’s Premier League highlights to send a classy message to Michail Antonio.
“Before we get to our first game we would like to send our best wishes to West Ham’s Michail Antonio, who is in a stable condition following a road traffic accident this afternoon,” he said.
“The statement said ‘Michail is conscious and communicating and is under close supervision at a central London hospital’.
“Here is hoping for a full and speedy recovery.”
