Having tea from a Kullad



While drinking tea, that ubiquitous elixir, from a porcelain teacup has its own allure, there’s a distinct, indeed post-aristocratic pleasure, in enjoying tea from a kullad. The earthen vessel, shaped by hands from earth, adds a raw swagger to each sip.

There is the matter of, literally, taste. The kullad imparts a subtle earthy aroma and flavour to the tea, enhancing the palate-tongue experience. Then, of course, it reminds even the wealthiest of the priceless quality of this simple pleasure.
