If your budget won’t stretch to a Galaxy S24 don’t panic, a much cheaper pair of devices could arrive as soon as next week.
Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S24 range of devices might be grabbing all of the Android headlines right now but something a whole lot cheaper could be coming soon. Rumours are rife that Samsung is about to unleash some new budget Galaxy A smartphones which look set to come packed with big features at a much lower price. It’s thought the new Galaxy A35 5G and A55 5G (which will replace the current A34 and A54 range) could be released as soon as next week with the team at Phone Arena speculating that March 11 might be the date Samsung fans need to pop in their diaries.
Full specs are yet to be revealed but it’s thought both will get a boost to their speeds, camera and overall design.
Perhaps the most exciting is the more premium Galaxy A55 which is rumoured to be getting a pin-sharp 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with a speedy 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling – not even the more expensive iPhone 15 can match that with Apple’s smartphone only providing a 60Hz experience.
A triple-lens rear camera with 50MP main sensor looks almost certain to be included along with the device being powered by Samsung’s Exynos speedy 2.75GHz octa-core Exynos 1480 processor.
Expandable storage could add to the appeal with users able to boost the 128GB of onboard memory via an SD Card.
Despite its expected lower price, it could be clad in lightweight aluminium and might even get wireless charging making it less of a hassle to refill the giant 5,000mAh battery.
To help increase the excitement around these budget blowers, leaked images from top tech tipster, Evan Blass, have given a glimpse of what could be to come with the devices looking very much like the much more expensive Galaxy S24 Series.
Photos show a luxury look and numerous colours including a subtle blue and yellow.
There’s currently no word on the price and when they will arrive in UK stores but the current A34 and A54 start from around £345 so expect something similar.
