
The Tupper Lake bantam hockey team won the annual Tupper Lake Founding Fathers Tournament this past Sunday. The players on the Lumberjack bantam team include Anderson Sparks, Gavin Brown, Luka Dukett, Oren Preston, Gauge LaValley, Jace Wagner, Ben Thompson, Owen Schofield, Brody Dewyea, Owen Lawrence, Brady Skiff, Nolan Macagg, Traxon Ellers, Nolan Wilson, Leo Brooker, Carson Flagg-Schneider and Graedyn Ellers. The coaches are Matt LaLonde, Gerard Ellers, Jeremy Thompson and Jed Dukett.

Local skaters from the High Peaks Skating Academy out of Tupper Lake competed for the Ladyjacks synchronized skating team during the Empire State Winter Games and individual competitors. The team is coached by Lake Placid native Amy Payton. TUPPER LAKE — The Tupper Lake bantam hockey team that won the annual Tupper Lake Founding Fathers Tournament this past Sunday after topping Malone 3-2 in overtime. In the first game of the tournament, the Lumberjacks jumped out to a 7-6 win over Massena. Tupper Lake cruised to a 10-4 victory over Louisville in the second game. In the third contest, the Lumberjacks lost 2-1 to Malone with a late goal with 1:20 remaining in the game, but were able to defeat the Huskies in the championship game.
