After a long battle with respiratory disease, Joseph A. Edgley Sr., 91, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away on Jan. 7, 2024, at Hospice of Palm Beach County.
Born in Lake Placid, New York, in May 1932, he was the son of Raymond R. and Rose (Garneau) Edgley.
He married the love of his life, Lillian (Balasy), in 1955 and was married for 58 years until Lill passed away in 2013.

Soon after, life took Joe and Lill to Palm Beach County to live near their children. His employment continued with the South Florida Water Management until he retired in 1996.
Joe was a devoted family man that had an “open door policy” for friends, neighbors and family. Many good times took place at Lill and Joe’s residence in Jupiter. He was an amazing person who was kind, funny and loved by all who knew him. Golf, reading, walking and the New York Giants were his passions in life.
