The 16-year-old takes on Luke Humphries in tonight’s final after his fairytale run at Alexandra Palace.
The teenager has captured the attention and adoration of the nation with his against-the-odds victories and a peak audience of 2.4m tuned into his semi-final win against Rob Cross.
An even bigger audience is expected for Wednesday’s final, and Littler has already met the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Declan Rice and James Maddison in the last fortnight.
However, it was Donny van de Beek’s appearance last month that really got Littler going as the teenager has been a United fan his whole life.
Littler revealed on Tuesday that he’s received messages from the likes of Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans, while former Reds Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand have been in touch to send him luck.
‘I’ve got a lot of followers now. I’ve had a message off Luke Shaw, from Manchester United, from Rio Ferdinand, and I had a message off Gary Neville and Jonny Evans before my game against Barney,’ Littler told the BBC.
But the Daily Mail say Littler has now been invited to Old Trafford for the January 14th clash against Tottenham.
Depending on tonight’s result, Littler could be presented to the 74,000-strong crowd at the Theatre of Dreams.
Littler, from nearby Warrington, has already earned £200,000 on his way to tonight’s final.
