Thunderstorms in Boston delayed Lana Del Rey concert by two hours, forcing fans to evacuate the outdoor seats.
Expect a mixed bag for weather this weekend.
The hot, humid weather that’s hung over Massachusetts is expected to stick, according to the National Weather Service. But throw in some thunderstorms, that might make beach days a no-go.
Meteorologist Frank Nocera of the National Weather Service in Norton said Massachusetts is looking at a “typical summer weekend” when it comes to the weather.
“We have a threat of thunderstorms and showers throughout the weekend, but we are looking at more dry weather than wet weather,” Nocera said, adding he expects the heat to stick around for the next few days.
He also expects there will be some “brief torrential downpours” throughout the weekend.
What will Saturday’s weather look like?
“I think Saturday will be the better day,” Nocera said.
It’s not likely to be raining the whole day on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, but thunderstorms and showers are likely.
AccuWeather’s forecast calls for it be “very humid” with a high of 82 degrees and thunderstorms capable of causing flash flooding.
What does Sunday’s weather forecast look like?
Sunday continues the pattern of hot, humid weather.
It will be “drier Sunday and Monday, although a slight chance Sunday afternoon for a spot shower or thunderstorm remains,” the National Weather Service wrote in the forecast discussion. “Still rather warm and muggy both days.”
Despite all the rain, it won’t be any cooler. AccuWeather is predicting a high of 90 degrees, and spot thunderstorm showers in the afternoon on Monday.
