Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Regional SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 8.48% or 9.69 points to trade at 124.00 at the close. Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:) added 7.63% or 10.65 points to end at 150.15 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:) was up 5.90% or 2.63 points to 47.23 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:), which lost 5.34% or 8.22 points to trade at 145.75 in late trade. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV:) declined 4.57% or 25.46 points to end at 531.91 and Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:) shed 4.31% or 0.52 points to 11.54.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 142 to 82 and 15 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.38% or 10.20 to $2,680.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.69% or 1.18 to hit $71.01 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.04 to trade at $74.62 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.09% to 19.42, while EUR/MXN rose 0.05% to 21.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 101.39.
