Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), which rose 3.59% or 0.56 points to trade at 16.14 at the close. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:) added 2.89% or 0.28 points to end at 9.96 and Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV (BMV:) was up 2.20% or 1.28 points to 59.41 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:), which lost 3.96% or 10.77 points to trade at 261.00 in late trade. Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:) declined 3.28% or 0.42 points to end at 12.40 and Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:) shed 2.51% or 8.79 points to 341.26.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 133 to 95 and 17 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.44% or 11.70 to $2,656.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.16% or 0.11 to hit $68.29 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.15% or 0.11 to trade at $71.99 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.11% to 19.70, while EUR/MXN rose 0.03% to 21.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 100.50.
