Nigerian trumpeter coming to Noon Hour Concerts – Park Rapids Enterprise

Adedayo Lawal Emmanuel will be featured at the Noon Hour Concert from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, June 27 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids.

Free-will donations will be accepted.

Currently studying trumpet performance under Prof. Scott Guidry at Bemidji State University, he was a member of the Divine Symphony Orchestra (Nigeria) and the Chamber Music Society of Nigeria.

In the U.S., Adedayo has played in the Heartland Symphony Orchestra and was featured in a production of the opera “Amahl and the Night Visitors.”

According to a news release, Adedayo aims to be a professional soloist, chamber musician, orchestra player and music educator. When not playing music, he loves to work out, play soccer and pool, and travel.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
