The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), with the support of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy, has unveiled the Nigeria Artificial Intelligence Research Scheme, which provides up to N5 million in grants to tech startups and researchers.
Fredrick Nwabufo, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Public Engagement, disclosed this on Saturday in a statement on his official X handle.
NITDA is anchoring the scheme to foster a vibrant and sustainable AI ecosystem in Nigeria by providing financial support and facilitating knowledge collaboration.
The circular stated that the application for the scheme closes on November 15, 2023.
