OCSD partners with program for internet access – The Times and Democrat

Orangeburg County School District is working with the Federal Communications Commission’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). This alliance aims to bridge the digital divide and ensure every student and family in our district has the internet access they need.

Understanding that many in our community might find it challenging to afford regular internet services, this initiative offers a lifeline. Eligible families will not only benefit from free monthly internet service but will also receive an Android tablet to aid their online activities.

“This is more than just an internet access program; it’s a commitment to our community’s future. In today’s digital age, having reliable internet is crucial for education, work, and staying connected. We want to ensure that every child in Orangeburg has equal opportunities and the tools they need to succeed,” said Dr. Shawn Foster, OCSD Superintendent

OCSD encourages all families to explore this offer and share the information within their circles.
