RISHI Sunak tried to cast a spell over his future wife — by dressing as Harry Potter for a Halloween party.
The Prime Minister said it was the first do he had attended with Akshata Murty when they were at university in America.
He made the revelation while being interviewed by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary on the This Morning sofa on ITV.
He said: “The first time Akshata and I went to a party together it was a Halloween party when we were in the States and she went as a girl guide and I went as Harry Potter.”
It was one of a string of personal revelations which may do little to change Star Wars superfan Mr Sunak’s geeky public image.
He said he preferred Big Brother to I’m A Celebrity and was glued to the Netflix Beckham documentary.
Also, he plumped for Taylor Swift over Britney Spears and, while he enjoyed the family time watching Barbie, found Oppenheimer a better film.
Mr Sunak has previously admitted to being a superfan of Star Wars and even craves a cameo role flying an X-Wing and taking down the Death Star.
Later, the teetotal PM said he had never smoked a cigarette — as he moves to raise the legal age for buying tobacco.
But he told LBC: “It has absolutely no relevance to anything.”
