The annual Riverside Community Flower Show and Garden Tour will be held April 27 and 28, with the flower show at the Riverside Elks Lodge and the garden tour featuring six local gardens.
Theme for this year’s event is “Garden Friends With Benefits,” celebrating native pollinators.
The flower show is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. both days, and entries will be accepted between 4 and 8 p.m. April 26, according to a flyer for the event. There is no entry fee.
Garden tour hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days, and tickets are $10 for adults and free for age 16 and younger. Garden tour tickets, available at RiversideFlowerShow.com, will be exchanged for a wristband and map at the Riverside Elks Lodge.
The flower show will include displays and information from the Raincross Rose Society, Riverside-San Bernardino Counties Orchid Society, Inland Region Iris Society, Inland Koi Society, Gates Cactus and Succulent Society and Riverside Master Gardeners, according to the event website.
There will also be four seminars during the flower show. Saturday presentations are “Getting to Know Your Backyard Hummingbirds,” 9:30 a.m.; and “Attracting Beneficial Bugs to Your Garden,” 10:30 a.m. Sunday seminars are “I’ll Be There for You: Be a Friend of the Western Monarch,” 9:30 a.m.; and “Bringing Nature Home: California Native Plant Gardening,” 10:30 a.m.
