Sir Jim Ratcliffe view on Alejandro Garnacho antics revealed as Man Utd owner 'unhappy'

Garnacho has been one of the Red Devils’ few saving graces so far this season, scoring seven and assisting three in 30 league appearances. As a result, the Argentina international did not feel that he deserved to have been dragged off at the Vitality Stadium over the weekend.

The forward was replaced by Amad Diallo at halftime, which prompted Garnacho to like two separate tweets which questioned the decision and implied that Ten Hag was making tactical decisions based on the salary of each player.

The 19-year-old promptly unliked the tweets and United have insisted that the matter has been dealt with internally, amid fears that the forward would be exiled in a similar manner to Jadon Sancho. According to HITC, Ratcliffe is aware of the incident and ‘not amused’.

The new United owner is keen to allow Ten Hag to conduct club discipline how he deems necessary, though he is said to have reiterated to the former Ajax boss that he was in agreement with how the Sancho saga was dealt with.

Ratcliffe is hoping to get to the bottom of the team’s ill-discipline as soon as possible and is not willing to accept players overstepping the mark. The INEOS owner is also keen to ‘cut out’ team leaks which have become rife on social media ahead of important fixtures.
