The new trains aim to promote religious tourism by providing faster access to pilgrimage sites like Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, and Kalighat and Belur Math in Kolkata. These trains are also expected to support local industries such as coal mining in Dhanbad, jute production in Kolkata, and iron and steel manufacturing in Durgapur.
Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate railway projects worth over Rs 660 crore. He will also distribute sanction letters to 20,000 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) in Tatanagar for rural housing support.
Part of the railway infrastructure development includes the Madhupur Bypass line in Deoghar district and the Hazaribag Town Coaching Depot in Hazaribag district. The Madhupur Bypass line will reduce congestion on the Howrah-Delhi mainline and travel time between Giridih and Jasidih. The Hazaribag Town Coaching Depot aims to improve the maintenance of train operations.
Furthermore, PM Modi will unveil the Kurkura-Kanaroan doubling project, enhancing connectivity through Ranchi, Muri, and Chandrapura stations on the Bondamunda-Ranchi line and Rourkela-Gomoh route. This is expected to benefit both goods and passenger traffic. He will also dedicate four new Road Under Bridges (RUBs) to enhance public safety.
