Sky is dishing out blockbuster TV upgrades for free, make sure you don’t miss out

If you have a subscription there’s good news. The telly firm is dishing out a bunch of freebies over the festive period which will bring some fun and added entertainment to your living room. The first thing to watch out for is Sky’s hugely popular Santa Tracker which will appear on Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream this Christmas Eve.

Once loaded, you’ll get to see a live map which shows exactly where the reindeer and sleigh are currently positioned and heading next.

To access this tracking system, simply use voice control on Sky Glass, Sky Stream or Sky Q to ask, “Where’s Santa?”; “Santa Tracker”; “Where is Santa right now?”; “Follow Santa”; “Is Santa coming tonight?”

From now until Christmas Eve you’ll also find a live countdown to the big day plus there are 12 new video messages from Santa on Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Sky Q. Just say,” Santa, what is your favourite music”, “Santa, what do you do in the summer holidays?”,” Santa, am I on the nice list?”’ and you should get a festive response.

Next up there’s some extra content to watch for free with Sky offering a whole six months of access to Apple TV+ without you needing to reach for your wallet.

This streaming service, which usually costs £8.99 per month, includes award-winning shows and movies such as Ted Lasso, Silo, For All Mankind, Severance and The Morning Show.

Sky says this deal is available for new or returning Apple TV+ customers who haven’t already accessed an Apple TV+ offer with Sky – if that’s you then you can grab the free access via the VIP section of the My Sky app.

Finally, those wanting to get fully in the Christmas spirit, there are some easy ways to find festive movies. Simply say, “we wish you a movie Christmas”, “Christmas on Sky Cinema” and “Movies make Christmas” into your remote and you should see all the top movies appear on your telly.
