Shares of Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 2.48 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 2.05 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.07 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent) and Abbott India Ltd.(up 0.27 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 3.03 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.8 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 2.75 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.56 per cent at 22309.10.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 58.8 points at 24619.0, while the BSE Sensex stood 200.66 points at 81508.46.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Trident Ltd, YES Bank, ITI Ltd and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Rajdarshan Ind, Indo Us Bio-Tech, Orbit Exports, Ind Swift Ltd and T T Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Coffee Day Ent, Bright Solar, Suraksha Diagnostic, Asian Paints and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
