Shares of Sanofi India(up 3.82 per cent), Biocon(up 2.86 per cent), Divis Laboratories(up 1.46 per cent), Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals(up 1.02 per cent) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.93 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 2.15 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 2.08 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(down 1.76 per cent), Abbott India(down 1.63 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences(down 0.3 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.23 per cent up at 11996.2.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 45.45 points at 17465.8, while the BSE Sensex stood down 141.87 points at 59463.93.

Shares of Mahindra CIE, Zen Tech, Jindal Saw, Nintec Systems Ltd. and Soma Textiles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Ahimsa Industries L, Kridhan Infra, Macrotech Developers Ltd., The Mandhana Retail and Praxis Home Retail hit their fresh 52-week lows.
